Our Crèche
The Isis Crèche is caring
for children aged birth to 5 years. Older children
can attend during school holidays providing we have
the space. We can have up to
ten children at each session, but mostly we have
groups of no more than six hence the children receiving
lots of individual attention.
We offer a very high level of childcare. The Crèche
is a very calm, caring and peaceful environment
helping children develop at their own speed and
teaching them to trust other adults and interact with
their peers.
Lots of support and reassurance is given to mothers
with help and advice always at hand if needed. Staff
have daily chats with mums about their child and lots
of positive feedback is given.

The Crèche has a wide range of appropriate toys and
equipment and a lovely garden so the children can play
outside (weather permitting. We take the children
out for walks and outings whenever possible. We have
a seaside trip every year, a fun day, a barbeque,
garden party along with riverside walks and picnics in
the park.
The Crèche is a very important part of the work at the
Isis and we pride ourselves on providing the best
possible childcare.
An OFSTED Report is available for any parent wishing
to read it.
Crèche Guidelines
We are concerned with your
child’s physical, emotional, social, intellectual and
language needs. We feel it is important to remember
that all children develop at different rates and every
child has different needs. We treat each child as an
individual.
We offer a variety of different plan activities e.g.
sand, water, gluing, cutting, singing and reading
stories etc.
We also offer the opportunity for every child to
socialise with other children, helping them to mix,
share and play with others.
We encourage children and always have time to talk,
play and listen. We take a positive approach to every
child.
Snack - At each session the children will be offered a drink, fruit or a biscuit. If a child has any dietary needs please let us know.
Nappies - If your child is in nappies please provide disposables.
Bottles - Please provide a bottle if your child requires one. Provision can also be made for mum to breastfeed in comfort.
Clothing - Whilst we take every care always encouraging children to wear an apron for painting, gluing etc, accidents do happen, so we would ask parents not to put children in their best clothes.
Illness -
If
a child is ill or has anything contagious, we would
ask that they are NOT brought into the Crèche; this
avoids illness being passed onto other children.
