Frequently Asked Questions
1.
Is there a time limit to how long I can attend the
ISIS Centre?
You may undertake all the courses which we offer
including the Support Group then we will then review
your attendance on a individual basis including sign
posting to one of our Satellite Groups.
2. Do we have to
pay for using this service?
No, there is no charge. The project raises it running
cost from various funding
bodies such as charitable trusts that support
organisations such as ours.
3.
I have a friend who would like to come with me, can
anyone attend the ISIS Centre?
No, it is specifically for women experiencing mental
health problems, and is by referral only, which
usually is from a mental health worker, health visitor
or GP.
4. What if I
decide to join a group and then find it is not what I
wanted? Can I change to something else?
We would do our best to arrange an alternative group.
However, due to the high demand for places, we cannot
always guarantee this, so it may mean having to wait a
few weeks until the next group start.
It is really important that if you are unable
to attend a group, or decide it is not what you wanted,
that you let us know as soon as possible, because we
usually have a waiting list for places and could
then offer the place to someone else.
4. I have never
attended a group before, and I am concerned that if I
talk about very personal issues, will it be
confidential?
Within
every group the importance of confidentiality is
emphasised, which means that personal issues
discussed within the ISIS Centre, must not be
disclosed anywhere else.
The only time this may not be adhered to is if we
felt seriously concerned for an individual's well
being, or safety. In that situation we would initially
discuss our concerns privately with the woman, before
speaking to any other agency involved in their care.
